We are proud to say that all sites of Freudenberg in Brazil are ISO 14000
certified. And beyond the legal demands originated by local, state, and federal
regulations, Freudenberg companies in Brazil are going the extra mile by aiming
to improve their systems for environmental protection even further.
At EagleBurgmann, all the conventional taps were changed for “green” ones,
resulting in a significant water saving and it also included a local wastewater
treatment station, where around 5,000 liters of water are reused weekly for
gardening, external and pieces washing.
At Chem-Trend, effluents originated from the production have dropped
significantly (around 30 - 40 percent) with simple measures like the limitation
of pressured water injected into the manufacturing tanks and the establishment
of a simple and visual control system for the cleaning process of reusable
tanks. The concern about the environment is also strong at Vibracoustic where
rubber scraps are now recycled and transformed into shoe soles and flooring
material for soccer fields and playgrounds; resulting in a considerable
reduction of expenses.
